The hat started out life as a basic 'posable' mesh, which I bent and then painted; the paper bird eggs were acrylic sealed and then painted with an acrylic craft paint base of light peach, and finished with many layers of pearl nail polish. The paper bird was embellished with extra glued on feathers.
